Background: One of the nation’s largest Healthcare systems seeks to hire a Tableau Administrator within its Technology team. Tableau Administrator will design and manage the Tableau application and its environment including: server maintenance, security, performance testing, and administrator tasks to ensure users are fully benefiting from this leading BI tool.
What Will You Do:
- configure and administer the Tableau application including: user setup, create / manage groups, workbooks, projects, database views, data sources, and datasets
- provide Tableau server maintenance and application management support including upgrades, troubleshooting, disaster recovery, performance tuning, clustering, load balancing
- monitor Tableau server activity and usage statistics to identify possible performance issues and enhancements
- manage and support migration of objects (workbooks, dashboards, data sources) from development to production environments
- leverage server API and Tableau metadata database to automate jobs
- develop and document standards and best practices for development and administration of the Tableau platform
- collaborate with IT Security, Network, and other IT Teams for environment support

Responsibilities/Experience:
- Tableau administrator experience is a MUST including complete understanding of Tableau architecture and administration
- Experience in Tableau scripting (TABCMD and TSM)
- Good knowledge of Tableau Metadata database
- Cloud experience is a PLUS (Azure)
