Background: Leading specialty Retailer seeks a Data Scientist to perform predictive analytics including applying machine learning to solve critical business needs across the Enterprise ranging from: customer experience, marketing optimization, demand planning, margin optimization, and econometrics.

 

What Will You Do:

  • work with key strategic partners across the Enterprise, understand areas of opportunity, and apply predictive analytics that address critical business needs
  • apply machine learning on customer transactions, demographic, digital, and economic data that optimize the following initiatives: customer experience, marketing, demand planning, margins
  • deploy machine learning algorithms to optimize marketing initiatives: customer lifetime value (CLTV), grow customer base and loyalty, mitigate customer churn, look-alike audience targeting, attribution, ROI
  • utilize predictive modeling and machine learning to evolve customer strategies as it pertains to margin optimization including pricing and revenue growth
  • build predictive models to optimize demand planning initiatives including forecasting customer demand and consumption trends
  • leverage machine learning on economics data to understand business impact given current market conditions i.e. labor shortage, inflation, supply chain challenges, etc.
  • take analytical findings and infuse them into short / long term business strategies
  • build dashboards to visualize leading KPI
  • provide data storytelling on all analysis performed

Responsibilities/Experience:

  • bachelors / Master’s degree within a quantitative and technical discipline
  • must have 3+ years of applied predictive analytics experience including predictive modeling and machine learning
  • proficiency with Python or R is highly desired
  • B2C experience highly desired
  • client facing, articulate, great communication
