Background: One of the nation’s largest health care systems is in the process of a generational digital transformation and seeks a Head of Agile to champion the transition to an Agile framework. The Head of Agile will create best practices and guide the team on how to implement scrum and agile practices and methodologies in order to optimize development of products and solutions. This highly visible leadership role reports directly into the Chief Data Officer.
What Will You Do:
- Facilitate organizational learning, change management, and process adoption of scrum and agile practices and methodologies
- Responsible for building a team of scrum masters from scratch
- Serve in the role of Agile coach through training, mentoring, and coaching a team of Scrum Masters
- Lead scrum process through daily scrum ceremonies, sprint review and planning meetings to facilitate transparency, remove impediments and shield from external distractions
- Develop, implement, and promote Agile best practice standards including the use of boards and tools where appropriate
- Collaborate with executive leadership team on portfolio governance for Scrum and facilitate the development of teams based on business needs
